Open Position: MEMS Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engages in the design, development and implementation of the next generation MEMS components and subsystems
  • Optimizes and supports component design, development and implementation including micro-pump and micro check valve as R&D lifecycles warrant
  • Identifies, develops and implements measures that improves process development, fabrication, packaging and process improvement of MEMS components
  • Carries out a wide range of complex technical tasks including simulation, analysis, prototyping and testing
  • Performs troubleshooting of circuits and systems; Analyzes results and recommends corrective measures

Experience

  • 5+ years MEMS design and development experience gained in industry or an academic environment
  • Proven ability to improve MEMS fabrication processes
  • Biotech micro-electronic device and process validation and verification
  • Microfluidics testing
  • FEA/FEM
  • ANSYS
  • Solidworks or 3D CAD
  • FDA environment experience

Education

  • MSEE or Ph.D. EE preferred; BSEE with meaningful industry experience

Other Skills/Traits

  • Excellent spoken and written English skills
  • Self-directed; creative; strong work ethic; good team skills

Special Training/Certifications

  • Use and operation of typical lab bench equipment
  • Application software such as Matlab, Labview, etc.
  • Experience working in aclass 10,000 and above cleanroom environment
